Silo Studio is based in Cork, Ireland and fully subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data protection is not an afterthought for us. It's built into how we work.

Privacy-friendly analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics tools like Plausible and Umami. These tools do not use cookies, do not track individuals, and do not collect personal data. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous. This means our website does not require a cookie consent banner for analytics purposes.

Cookie consent

Our website does not set any tracking cookies. If we ever introduce functionality that requires cookies (such as third-party chat widgets), we will implement a cookie consent mechanism that meets GDPR requirements, including clear opt-in before any non-essential cookies are set.

Data we process

We only process personal data that you provide directly, such as your name and email when you contact us or book a call. We process this data on the legal basis of legitimate interest (responding to your enquiry) or contractual necessity (delivering a project you've commissioned).

Data subject rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erase your data
• Restrict processing in certain circumstances
• Port your data to another provider
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest

We respond to all data subject requests within 30 days.

Data protection for client projects

When we build websites for clients, we recommend and implement privacy-by-design practices. This includes privacy-friendly analytics, proper cookie consent, and clear privacy policies. We can advise on GDPR-compliant tooling as part of any project.
